Investment Tip
How your credit card debt compares to the national average
In 2005 the average American household having at least one credit card was burdened with $9,612 in credit card debt.
- If your current credit card debt totals more than this amount, you have a SERIOUS spending management issue that you MUST do something about starting right this minute.
- If your current credit card is anywhere near the above average, you have a spending issue that will be manageable, but will need your immediate attention and planning.
- If your current credit card debt is an amount you can pay off this month, credit card spending is not a problem for you. Keep it that way.
Keep in mind that any sort of loan, and credit card use IS a loan, involves your spending money you don't have yet, and if you have much of it, credit card debt will cramp your life style fiercely for a long time to come. AVOID IT!
